
Rotarians in Ghana Responding to COVID-19 Pandemic
The Rotary Club of Accra-Spintex, together with Rotarians in Ghana, Friends and Family came together to support our Frontline Health Care Providers through the request received from the Ghana Association of Doctors in Residency (GADoR).
Funds were mobilized through generous donations from Rotary Clubs in Ghana, Individual Rotarians, Friends and Family.
This is the first phase of donations and additional items are being procured to support the response to COVID-19.
Rotary International is an International service organisation whose stated purpose is to bring together business and Professional Leaders in order to provide Humanitarian service and to advance Goodwill and Peace around the world.
This request is in line with Rotary International’s Six Areas of Focus:
1. Disease Prevention and Control
2. Water and Sanitation
3. Maternal and Child Health
4. Economic and Community Development
5. Peace, Conflict Prevention and Resolution
6. Basic Education and Literacy
PPEs and related items worth GHS115,000 were procured and donated today Tuesday 31 March 2020.
List of items procured and donated:
Coveralls, Hand Sanitizers, N95 masks, Protective eye shields, Surgical gloves, Examination gloves, Goggles (safety), Veronica buckets, Paper towels, Soap (handwashing) and Face masks.
